The Stones Hotel-Legian, Bali from Marriott Autograph Collection is pleased to announce the appointment of of Vittorio Negri as Executive Chef effective July 2016. Coming from Golden Tulip Devins Seminyak-Bali-Indonesia, Vittorio is delighted to join Marriott’s Autograph Collection Hotel; The Stones.
Having stayed in Bali the past six years, the island’s magical culture, its people, the magnificent landscape and the rapid growth of food and hotel business are some of the many reasons of his excitement to continue contributing to Bali’s culinary scene.
Born in Castellammare di Stabia- Italy to a family with four siblings, young Vittorio spent most of his time playing football with his friends. “Like any other Italian child, it was a typical thing to dream of becoming an International football player. “Vittorio shares his childhood memories. “Little did I know that my habit to cook for my football team after a match becomes my passion which I continue pursuing.” The forward midfielder added.
Vittorio set his foot firstly in Asia in 2011 when he joined an Italian restaurant in Koh Samui, Thailand. It was a few years after his passion travelled him to the UK and Abu Dhabi. After Thailand, the non-settler moved to India and worked for the Movenpick Bangalore as Chef de Cuisine. He then joined Regency Hotel in Tunisia before flying to “Paradise” as he called Bali with, in 2012 to join Fontana Hotel. He moved to Gulden Tulip two years after Fontana before joining The Stones in 2016.

A father of two, a cinema and football enthusiast, Vittorio is thrilled to continue his journey with the big family of Marriott International by being the newest addition to The Stones’ dynamic white-jackets team. He believes his credo “Gutsy instinct, passion in doing what you do every day, and continuous research for improvement.” will result in the success of Stones’ culinary experience. A credo that he will also use when he takes up a second hat to maybe coach the hotel’s football squad.
Vittorio is fully in charge for the cuisine of the hotels’ three gemstone restaurants; Stones Kitchen, The Long Rice Table and Big Fish Bar& Grill, and the extensive banquet and event operations.
